Earlier this year I was privileged to find @gangofyouths . I was blown away by their music but then I started digging into their lyrics. To paraphrase one of their fellow Aussies, their lyrics fucked me up on a spiritual level. While many of the songs may not be about the most happiest moments (divorce/breakup, death, feeling lost out in a despondent world), they always lead to a place of positivity. The idea that while these things are terrible and bad and heart rending, they also help us to become more loving and more open.
