Gang of Youths kicks off 16-night tour with Mumford & Sons

Gang of Youths introduced itself to a new audience tonight in Lisbon as the band kicked off a 16-concert run as the opening act for Mumford & Sons’ Delta Tour 2019 across Europe.

The show is still going on as I type this, but Gang of Youths wrapped up its short set about an hour ago. Here’s a favorite tweet about their performance:

Translation: “This Gang of Youths frontman is sassy personified! Like!”

#nailedit 😄💯💪

The band played in the round on what looked like a fairly small stage out in the middle of the arena — an arena, by the way, that has a capacity of about 20,000 people and is one of the biggest indoor venues in Europe.

Here’s a short clip of “Let Me Down Easy” from tonight’s show:

Based on tweets from Livia C., we think that’s one of six songs GOY played tonight. We have more video and photos, plus the full setlist, over in our Tours section:

As the tour goes along over the next month, we’ll be keeping a close eye on Twitter and Instagram for more videos and photos. Recommend you give us a follow on Twitter to stay up-to-date on Gang of Youths as it all happens.
