Gang of Youths records with Auckland Gospel Choir
Two days after crushing its appearance at the Down to Earth fire relief concert in Melbourne, the band was back in the studio Friday presumably working on its new album.
But this time, they were at Roundhead Studios in Auckland, New Zealand, and they were working with members of the Auckland Gospel Choir. The studio’s Instagram account shared a group photo with the caption, “What a fantastic day! @gangofyouths recording in Studio A with the Auckland Gospel Choir.”
Both the studio and the band shared video of the collaboration via IG Stories — but it wasn’t actual Gang of Youths music you could see or hear. The studio’s IG story mentioned that the choir was “warming up” for its session with the band, and in that clip you can see all five members of GOY sitting on a bench watching the choir sing. The band’s IG stories show the studio filled with singing and dancing (especially Dave!). We compiled those stories into this video clip.
